My name is Claire, I’m the twenty-something brunette pictured below:

I am an avid reader and also spend a lot of time writing (albeit with varying degrees of success). I love new books, old books, the smell of the pages in books, my e-book library, crisp white paper in new Paperchase notebooks and the endless possibilities of an untitled word document. I also happen to be university trained in English Language and Literature.

So, what is The Book Study all about?

Ask any successful writer on their first piece of advice for aspiring young writers and I guarantee it will be to read, read and read some more. Trust me, google it. Determined to become a better writer myself, my new years resolution was to read a book a week, every week. Through The Book Study, I will share my progress with this resolution along with book reviews, my experiences with creative writing and other related topics.
